Color

A few years ago, I was quoted in Window and Wall Ideas magazine, “Never be afraid to go bold with colors.” Here’s how I incorporated color into my daughter’s high school bedroom. Now an actress, Amanda’s personality is reflected in the dramatic fuchsias and aubergines that I used. The colors are also a perfect foil for her collection of Asian memorabilia.

Orange is another smart color choice. I used a pumpkin shade in this traditional dining room.

Lately I’ve been choosing a bold orange for a burst of color to enliven an office space. I’m doing this to great effect in my own office, as well as on this chair in my client’s office nook:
